Thought For the Day

A guinea pig is not a pig, nor is it from Guinea. It’s a rodent from South America. Sweetbread is neither sweet nor bread. It’s the pancreas or thymus of an animal used for food. The movie director Norman Jewison is neither a Norman nor a Jew. He’s a Canadian Christian. Nobody said names for people or things have to make sense.

What are you going to be for Halloween?

What are you dressing up as this year? Just thought I’d get a topic going.
Post a comment and let me know.

This October we had a Friday the 12th, but no Friday the 13th...Sorry Jason...Next Year!

Poor Jason 🙁 This Year Just Didn’t Work Out For Him

Remembering Steve

Video tribute to Steve Jobs posted by apple on their site on the Anniversary of his death one year ago today.

A message from Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

Steve’s passing one year ago today was a sad and difficult time for all of us. I hope that today everyone will reflect on his extraordinary life and the many ways he made the world a better place.

One of the greatest gifts Steve gave to the world is Apple. No company has ever inspired such creativity or set such high standards for itself. Our values originated from Steve and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple. We share the great privilege and responsibility of carrying his legacy into the future.

I’m incredibly proud of the work we are doing, delivering products that our customers love and dreaming up new ones that will delight them down the road. It’s a wonderful tribute to Steve’s memory and everything he stood for.
– Tim

Thought for the day

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult; the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise. -Alden Nowlan, poet, novelist, and playwright (1933-1983)
