Will Vaping become “recognized” as the new safe alternative to smoking? Want to help?

After doing some research I have come to some basic conclusions and have determined the following.

In order to gain popularity as safe and win over health authorities here are some things that need to be done.

1. First and foremost a long term study on the effects of e-juice inhalation both nicotine infused and not.
What needs to be done here is determine what long term means to the various health organizations and data collected from controlled or semi-controlled studies where known chemical concentrations as well as placebo and baseline chemical concentrations are used in a subject group.

2. The chemical components themselves need to be catalogued and documented and all associated safety and certification information both pharmaceutical and food grade needs to be compiled in one place for easy reference.
This would include esters and flavours used and the production methods, what acid types, purity etc
Propylene glycol, vegetable glycerins etc

3. All of the research and documentation including standards and practices for production need to be certified by consumer and scientific organizations and endorsed to achieve recognition. A Canadian vaping compliance standards organization needs to be formed.

I am recording my own data and experiences and others should be encouraged to do this as well and also interviewing and regular contact and feedback results will act as a semi controlled study. The results of this once organized and put into research report format could be published to scientific journals /sold to various organizations and business looking to enter the industry.

Since there is a large community of vapers that have been vaping for several years calling for people from the community in general to provide information and documenting that then cross referencing those results with which which ejuice type/concentration etc they used would be another useful chunk of information.

If anyone is interested in working with me to receive and correlate data, please contact me via email wil@rosenblath.ca or comment here and leave your email for me to contact you. I am seeking organized intelligent computer savvy individuals with an internet connection who are willing to work for no money to help document and correlate data for a non-profit project to help legitimize vaping and gain recognition in the industry as an organized authority.
If this initiative gains momentum we will seek non profit status and begin looking at funding methods through various avenues.
